Wednesday 30 August 2017 a good student.
After 4 hours of theoretical and practical training in the merchandising profession, I re-launched about twenty recruitment ads on our job boards.
The link? I am in charge of human resources at SIG for almost 3 years.
What better way to get to know a job than to go and practice it in the field? I therefore volunteered to take part in a commando installation of a new high-tech product in a shop...
Respecting the client's merchandising standards, cleaning the furniture, security system, installing POS displays... after having contributed to the drafting of the recruitment ad, it was now my turn to put it into practice!
Friday 22 September: D-Day.
Arrived for the opening of the Boulanger shop in Coignières (78), it is with want and apprehension that I was passing the security PC.
I had a busy schedule ahead of me: 4 products to install and secure, 2 tarpaulins and 1 graphic to set up.
Don't forget anything, do things in order, apply the advice, my TO DO was ready.
But that was without taking into account the realities of the field, those little unforeseen events that make you lose track and give you the bitter impression that you are no longer in control...
After 4 calls to the dedicated Hotline, 1 alarm triggered on a piece of furniture, 1 SIM card forgotten in a phone, a few blisters on my fingers and all this in 4h30... my report was FINALLY sent and validated by the Hotline....
This great adventure has allowed me to better understand the daily life of the BA (Brand Advocate) and our merchandisers.
A few hours of stressful but very instructive "Vis ma Vie".
Thank you to our lovely Julie TACHE for this testimony!
