On the occasion of the 9th edition of the Paris Games Week, the largest French video game exhibition.
We went to meet one of our Nintendo area managers so that he could tell us about the experience he has with us every day.
Paris Games Week:
PGW is one of the top 3 international gaming shows, behind Gamescom in Germany and the Taipei Game Show in Taiwan.
With over 316,000 visitors and over 188 exhibitors including our loyal partner Nintendo, this is the must-attend event of the year.
For its 9th edition, the theme was Pop-Culture in all its forms.
Manufacturers, publishers, accessory makers and studios gathered to present their news for the end of the year: previews of games planned for 2019, technological innovations and the famous e-sports competitions.
If you are a fan of new technologies and especially of video games this was the place to be!
À Meeting Eddy:
Who are you?
"I am Eddy, Area Manager at SIG for Nintendo.
How did you start at SIG?
I started 4 years ago and went straight into the Nintendo team, already 4 years and I haven't seen the time pass.
What is your history with Nintendo?
Ah, it's a great love story between Nintendo and me, since I was a little boy I've been a Mario fan. I always dreamed of working for Nintendo. For me it was either Nintendo or Nike and Nintendo came along.
Can you explain why you came to the fair?
This launch event is an opportunity for me to meet our customers and see what new products they liked best on our stand.
But above all, it's an opportunity to discover the new products that our competitors have planned to release next year, to see where Nintendo stands in relation to the others.
What do you like about SIG and Nintendo?
At Nintendo, for me, it's the team that I appreciate very much and that I thank for having integrated me into their team.
At SIG it's the atmosphere and the state of mind of the people who work there, when I have the opportunity to come to the head office everyone is smiling, they welcome me with open arms and I really like this state of mind.
3 words to describe SIG?
Values of course!
Confidence, excellence and performance are the words that best represent SIG in my opinion and I would add rigour.
Thank you Eddy for taking the time to listen to us and answer our questions!
